This study selected samples from multiple types of colleges and universities to deeply explore the reasons behind students’ major changes, including blind following under the inducement of policies, lack of information, and external interference, as well as the avoidance mentality caused by learning setbacks. Through the introduction of sociological and psychological theories for in-depth motivation analysis, a multi-dimensional comprehensive solution was proposed, covering the optimization of the enrollment process, active research, and dynamic monitoring, the construction of a comprehensive professional ideology education system, and the establishment of a personalized and precise assistance mechanism. At the same time, long-term coping suggestions were given, aiming to guide students to make rational choices in majors, improve the quality of education, promote the all-round development of students, and enhance the universality and representativeness of the research conclusions.
