Electrolysis-generated water treatment FeO 2- 4 was prepared in a diaphram cell with double cathodic chamber and porous cylindrical cast iron anode.The experiment result showed that current efficiency and FeO 2- 4 concentration were higher by using double cylinder cast iron anode.Optimum result was obtained at J=30 mA·cm -2 ,30℃,14 mol·L -1 NaOH.70 mmol·L -1 FeO 2- 4 was produced and current efficiency was 36.8% for 5.5 h electrolysis. The result of ferrate oxidative degradation of benzidine wastewater showed removal rate of COD Cr about 85% and the final products were small molecule inorganic compounds.
