考虑膜厚影响薄膜磁致伸缩系数、泊松比和杨氏模量的同时测量被引量:1

基于经典层合板理论,建立了一个能同时测量薄膜-基底系统中薄膜的磁致伸缩系数、杨氏模量和泊松比的板模型.以前的研究计算薄膜磁致伸缩系数时,大多假设薄膜的弹性属性与相应的块材一致,由此导致的磁致伸缩系数计算是不准确的.在目前大多数方法中仅仅在使用一个单一的弹性各向同性基底中能够避免这个问题.该文模型在各向异性基底下同样适用,并且不要求薄膜的厚度远远小于基底厚度,因此也能够用来计算磁致伸缩应变和设计微电机械系统和生物微电机械系统.对已有的铁基非晶薄膜的实验数据,在不同磁场强度下,磁致伸缩系数的计算结果与已有模型进行了比较,它们之间的差异得到了解释.同时,还可以得到薄膜的弹性常数.

HEAT TRANSFER CHARACTERISTICS OF CONDUCTIVE MATERIAL UNDER INNER NON-UNIFORM ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS

Electronic transport properties can be influenced by the applied electromagnetic fields in conductive materials. The change of the electron distribution function evoked by outfields obeys the Boltzmann equation. In this paper, a general law of heat conduction considering the non-uniform electromagnetic effect is developed from the Boltzmann equation. An analysis of the equation leads to the result that the electric field gradient and the magnetic gradient in the conductive material are responsible for the influences of electromagnetic fields on the heat conduction process. A physical model is established and finite element numerical simulation reveals that heat conduction can be increased or delayed by the different directions of the electric field gradient, and the existence of the magnetic gradient always hinders heat conduction.

As an important component of nanodevices and nanomachine constructions,the mechanical performance of nanowires(NWs) has been a subject of intense research efforts due to gaining relevance in controlling functionality of nanoelectromechanical systems(NEMS);mean-while,one of the characteristics of the NEMS is the dependence of the functionality of the sys-tems upon the applied electric field.The study of the electric effects on the Young's modulus of nanostructures is of certain usefulness in the design of NEMS and the precise measurement of mechanical properties of one-dimensional nanostructures.This paper reviews the origin of the size-dependence of the elastic property of NWs and the factors influencing the discrepancies and inconsistencies in the measured values of the Young's modulus for the NW,besides the surface effects,nonlinear effects,the electromechanical coupling effects as a possible effect responsible for the differences in quantitative and qualitative performance of the measured Young's modulus for the NWs versus the diameter are clarified.

A nonlinear constitutive model for magnetostrictive materials被引量:8

A general nonlinear constitutive model is proposed for magnetostrictive materials, based on the important physical fact that a nonlinear part of the elastic strain produced by a pre-stress is related to the magnetic domain rotation or movement and is responsible for the change of the maximum magnetostrictive strain with the pre-stress. To avoid the complicity of determining the tensor function describing the nonlinear elastic strain part, this paper proposes a simplified model by means of linearizing the nonlinear function.For the convenience of engineering applications, the expressions of the 3-D (bulk), 2-D (film) and 1-D (rod) models are, respectively, given for an isotropic material and their applicable ranges are also discussed. By comparison with the experimental data of a Terfenol-D rod, it is found that the proposed model can accurately predict the magnetostrictive strain curves in low, moderate and high magnetic field regions for various compressive pre-stress levels. The numerical simulation further illustrates that, for either magnetostrictive rods or thin films, the proposed model can effectively describe the effects of the pre-stress or residual stress on the magnetization and magnetostrictive strain curves, while none of the known models can capture all of them. Therefore, the proposed model enjoys higher precision and wider applicability than the previous models, especially in the region of the high field.
