Based on the recognition and comprehension of the current situation of pharmaceu tical colleges and departments in our country in the present paper the contribut ions of educational, scholastic and research innovation in the development of th e colleges and departments were discussed. In our opinion research innovation ma y enhance educational innovation and scholastic innovation and is a basic one. C onsequently research innovation is taken as the essential element for the develo pment of our college may be reasonable.
