This paper aims at discussion on the application of CLT (Communicative Language Teaching) in China. The purpose is to get English teachers in China to know something more about (1) What is CLT? (2) What problems or difficulties and prospects of teaching by CLT in China? (3) How can we effectively teach by CLT in our English teaching? I believe that English education in China will be promoted by using CLT with teachers’ perceptions of it better.
