Using solid KF-Al2O3 as catalyst,nine chalcones were synthesized in good yields by the aldol condensation of 4-nitroacetophenone with aromatic aldehydes in solvent-free conditions under microwave irradiation.Their structures were characterized by 1H NMR,IR,MS spectra and element analysis.Compared with the conventional method,this method is simple,safe,rapid and eco-friendly.
