Palladium catalysts supported on montmorillonite K10, with the merits of easy preparation, the need of less amount of Pd and good reusability, showed remarkable catalytic activities and selectivities for the catalytic hydrodebromination of aromatic bromides. The catalysts were prepared by using amine as the adsorbent and Mont K10 as the supporter. High polar solvents and bases are beneficial to the catalytic hydrodebromination.
